Produced in electric arc furnaces through the carbothermic reduction of high-purity quartz and iron sources, ferro silicon serves as a deoxidizer and Alloying Agent in Steelmaking, as it removes oxygen and other impurities from molten steel, enhancing its strength, ductility, and overall quality.
