KELZANG DORJI

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from VNIT Nagpur, India.

A highly qualified metallurgical engineer, he brings over 14 years of specialized expertise in the ferro-alloys industry, with a proven track record in production management, process optimization, and major project execution. He is currently leading the on-site project team targeting the completion and commissioning of BMML’s new 2 x 18 MVA furnaces for ferro silicon production. Mr. Kelzang has been instrumental in some of the most significant metallurgical projects in the region.

He played a key role in stabilizing Bhutan’s first silicon metal plant at Bhutan Silicon Metal and later contributed to Reliance Industries Limited (A fortune 500 company) ambitious venture of integrated solar photovoltaic manufacturing complex as a Team Lead-MG Silicon production. His career, which began as a Production Shift In-Charge at SKW Tashi, demonstrates a consistent trajectory of leadership and deep technical mastery in operating submerged arc furnaces for silicon metal, ferro silicon, and calcium silicon.
